Recordings stay local by default
Capture, processing, and storage are designed around the browser and the user device first.
Privacy
This page explains the product privacy model in plain language. The short version is simple: recordings stay on your device by default.
Recordings are captured, processed, and stored locally unless you explicitly export, move, or share them.
The app uses browser storage for the recording file and metadata. That keeps the default workflow on your device, but it also means storage capacity and browser cleanup settings can affect how much you can keep.
The app uses Google Analytics 4 for product events, but it does not send the recording itself, recording titles, search text, or device labels as analytics payloads.
Analytics are limited to product-safe events on the production site, such as recording flow status or UI actions. Local development, preview, and test hosts are excluded from GA4 tracking.
Contact, spam protection, or optional sharing flows may involve third-party services, but those flows are not the default recording path.
If you use a contact form or optional sharing integration, only the information needed for that action should leave the browser. The recording workflow itself does not require a hosted upload step.
